Tentang
Regis is the preeminent duke of the empire and the only known transcendent being. He gained renown after defending the empire after the emperor fled with his tail between his legs. In the original story, he threw his own daughter, Jubelian, in the Room of Shadows after she was accused of poisoning Princess Beatrice. He gave her a knife and told her to endure before leaving without another word.
For unclear reasons, he is very distant from Jubelian.
When he was young, he was manipulated into signing a contract with the emperor that forces Regis to obey every command given to him. During this time, he loses control of his body and goes into a daze.
He had Jubelian's memory wiped of her childhood after she witnessed him standing over her mother's corpse. She began having panic attacks and seizures around him, so he asked the dragon Fafneil to erase those memories. However, the truth is that Jubelian misunderstood the situation. Her mother (his wife) was killed by assassins, and Regis killed those assassins.
He remembers the original story. After Jubelian died in the Room of Shadows, he went mad and destroyed the empire. It is due to him that the world was reset and Jubelian woke up in the story she read.
