Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on June 19, 2017. The first official volume was published on May 25, 2020 by Kadokawa under the MF Books label.

The series has been published in English as Magic Maker: How to Create Magic in Another World by Seven Seas Entertainment under the Airship imprint since March 17, 2026.
